St. John’s Concert Series is pleased to present its annual “Jazz Appreciation Concert” on Sunday, April 9, at 4:00 PM. The featured artist will be Tim Warfield. Hailing from York, Pennsylvania, veteran saxophonist Tim Warfield has appeared on over 70 recordings and has been lauded for his swaggering and soulful musical approach. Warfield is currently an Artist in Residence at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, as well as a board member and Music Committee Chair for the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz. He also serves as an adjunct professor of music at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Joining in this performance will be Antoine Drye, trumpet; Antony Wonsey, piano; Eric Wheeler, bass; and Chris Beck, drums. St. John Episcopal is located at 140 N. Beaver St., York, PA 17401.
