Lost Cause (York)
Performing Arts: Music; term
M3 Music Group’s hip-hop group “Lost Cause” is comprised of Keith S. Mitchell, Sr., aka 10th Power, from Long Island, N.Y., a DJ, beat maker, producer, mixer, arranger, and studio engineer, Kahlil Thompson, aka Rare Form, the hip hop emcee, from York, PA, and Thad Achey, aka Top, our musical genius who plays the drums, guitar, piano and bass.
Rare Form began writing and rapping his own lyrics at the age of 12, and at 17 years old did his first live performance in front of an auditorium packed with his peers.
10th Power has been djing and producing since age 13 – promoting and performing with some of the biggest names in the industry like Wu-Tang Clan, Ludacris, Pitbull, Slick Rick, Prince, and Mary J. Blige. He has also produced several local, independent releases in the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.
Top, our newest addition, has played in the pit of various professional musicals, as well as occasionally filling in as a drummer for local bands in the Maryland area such as The Milestones, the Marty Stone Band and StarTrek Jones.
Lost Cause was formed after 10th Power heard the talents of Rare Form and Top and took them under his wing. With its team of producers, Lost Cause expresses its point of view through original music – no samples – touching on topics happening in York City as well as the global world such as crime, politics, religion, social economic issues, racism, gentrification, and more.
