Debbie Bailey Toluba

I began painting in 2021 and have enjoyed learning about creating art through experimentation. My art is abstract, colorful, and intuitive. Each piece is an exploration of color, texture and process leading to uniquely different works.

The works shown represent a body of work from my show called “Pieces: You’ve always had the power.” If you look carefully there is a puzzle piece hidden in each artwork. The pieces represent my love of puzzles that occupied my time during Covid shutdown. They also represent how we are all interconnected and that often you need to look below the surface to see what we all have in common.
