Patricia Tomes

I make small oil paintings of big spaces focused on the rural landscape. I strive to interpret the broad skies and far horizons surrounding me with hope that the viewer may renew their own sense of place in the world.

In Jan 2020 I was awarded an Artist Professional Development Grant by the Cultural Alliance which gave me the tools to develop a web site for marketing my paintings at a national level. In May of 2020 I was featured in the Daily Paintworks Monthly Giveaway, DPW Interview May 2020

In Sept 2021, I was awarded Best of Show for my painting, Quiet Reflections at the 2021 YorkFest exhibit with Creative York.

I exhibit my art on a regular basis in both juried and group shows at several local and regional galleries and maintain a catalog of my work, including works in progress, on Instagram @pattomes and on at www.pattomesart.com
