Steph Holmes

Many of my early summers were spent exploring the creek bed with sopping wet sneakers, looking at insects, running through fields of weeds taller than myself, and checking my hair for spiders afterward.

Today, my paintings celebrate the life I discovered in the woods behind my childhood home. I borrow from those memories while inserting an extra dose of color, strangeness, and whimsy.

I received my BFA in Ceramics and Drawing from Millersville University in 2012 and a post-baccalaureate from Syracuse University in 2015. You’ll find me selling my art at the occasional art fair, teaching art classes, working in my artist studio in downtown York, PA, and hosting regular sustainability events like my Secondhand Art Supply Swap for the creative community.
