“A ‘New Dealer of the 1860s’: Remembering ‘Honest Abe’ in 1930s America”

Dr. Nina Silber is the John Westling Professor of History and Chair of the History Department at Boston University. Her most recent book, on which this lecture will draw, is This War Ain’t Over: Fighting the Civil War in New Deal America (2018). The lecture will be held from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM in Weinstock Lecture Hall in the Willman Business Center of York College of Pennsylvania\\\’s campus.  The lecture will be preceded with light refreshments in the lobby, and a book signing will follow the event.  This event is free and open to the public.
