ABOUT THE ARTIST
“Being Neurodivergent and on the spectrum I see things differently and it shows in my Art. As a child I couldn’t sit still, and my parents needed to be hyper vigilant as I would climb out windows or run away into the dark outside. I had no understanding of danger. Art helped train my focus and pour all those tendencies on paper. Now I can Hyper focus on the Art in front of me. Their hyper vigilance became mine. My parents were concerned for my future. I have had several showings already at the age of 18. First “Mulberry Arts Studio” in Lancaster. Second “Night of Entrepreneurs” in Harrisburg and “Hershey Gardens” in Hershey Pa. I also had my work hung at the Pa State Capital in July. Most recently my “Celestial Dreams” won 1st place at “Art of the State” Harrisburg Museum. I would like to take my work National as my goal is encouraging others with any kind of disadvantage. I have been very active in giving Charitable gifts of work to Aarons Acres, Pa Breast Cancer Coalition, American Heart Association and the ARC. This year I’m starting with Vista School in Hershey and the ARC Lancaster Pa.” -JJ Roach
