Camp B.L.D.

Does your child enjoy being in the kitchen? Farm to Freezer offers a unique summer camp experience just for your young chef! This 4-day camp begins with kitchen safety, knife skills and safe food handling. Young chefs will learn how to prepare several dishes each day for B (Breakfast), L (Lunch) and D (Dinner). Each day will end with time allotted to eat their creations from that day. The final day will be spent preparing a meal with the opportunity for each young chef to invite a guest to join us to eat. (11:30 am). Your young chef will set the table, serve the meal and tell you about the food.
Our camp provides a safe environment to learn new techniques and improve on existing skills. We believe in promoting teamwork, building confidence and expanding your taste buds!

General Information
Registration: Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment must be made in full in order to reserve a spot. Camp is limited to 12 people.
Age Requirement: Children ages 9-11 are eligible. In order to ensure the safety of everyone in our kitchen, all campers must meet the age requirement by the first day of camp. Sorry, no exceptions.
What to Expect: Your child will work independently AND in small groups/pairs in a supervised environment. Safety is our #1 priority. Please have your child wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. No sandals or flip flops are allowed in the kitchen. Please have long hair tied back. Campers are welcome to wear a headband or ball cap.
What to Bring: An apron (or borrow one of ours) and a water bottle.
Food Allergies: Please make us aware of food allergies as soon as possible. This is something we take very seriously and will do our best to make accommodations.
Cancellation Policy: Registration fees are non-refundable unless we are able to fill your spot. In that case, we will offer a full refund less a $12.00 processing fee.
Waiver/Photo Release: Once you are registered, we will send you a waiver and photo release to sign and bring with you on the first day of camp. The waiver is acknowledgement that your child is covered under your insurance should there be a need for medical attention. The photo release gives your permission or denial of permission for photographs to be used on our website/social media platforms.
