CeLeBRaTeARTS Week Presents: Powered by YOU! Family Day

Join the Cultural Alliance of York County and the York County History Center for a fun day of science, hands-on art, and live performances at the Agricultural & Industrial Museum – powered by YOU! Families will enjoy two floors of creative crafts, hands-on activities, and interactive learning experiences when the York County History Center’s Agricultural & Industrial Museum opens its doors for a free community family day.

Live Performances:

Steven Courtney and the Suitcase Musicians – 10:30-11:30
York Youth Symphony Orchestra performance & instrument petting zoo – 12pm-1pm
Weary Arts Group “How To Be a Rock Star” lesson & music jam – 1pm-2pm

Powerered by YOU! Activities include:

Make your own slushy:  Move and shake a specially made ball to turn juice into slushies.
Make snow slime and snow that never melts.
Create a log cabin using pool noodles.
Weave your own winter placemat.
How does a diesel engine work? Create a “flash” of energy to find out.
How does a steam engine work?  See demonstrations of a mini model steam engine and putt putt steamboats.
And explore steam, wind, water, and all types of power.
