Choral Evensong: P.C. King & York Brass Players

The choir of St. John Episcopal will sing an Evensong on Sunday, February 26, Transfiguration Sunday. The service will begin at 4:00 pm and will feature a liturgy which will be sung by both choir and congregation. Following the service, a trumpet recital will be presented by PC King accompanied by the York Brass Players. Ms. King’s diverse abilities allow her to perform with the  York Symphony, Lancaster British Brass Band and the Dave Stahl Sacred Orchestra, Buzz Jones Big Band, Capital Brass as well as for weddings and special ceremonies.   As a freelance musician, PC has been an active musician in Central PA for over 25 years. Members of the York Brass Players include Jon Moyer, Jim DeMers, George DeMers, and Brian Wood. A reception will follow the Evensong/Concert.  Admission is free. A free-will offering will be received.  Parking is available in the lot across the street from the church. St. John Episcopal is located at 140 N.
