Children’s story train ride and family activities at the Ma & Pa Railroad, December 9-11 and 16-18.
Hear the Christmas City Express written expressly for the Ma & Pa Railroad Preservation Society appearing for two weekends, December 9, 10 and 11 as well as 16, 17 and 18. This children’s story experience, complete with a journey aboard the Ma & Pa Railroad through the Muddy Creek Valley, is a delightful way for Central Pennsylvanians to celebrate the season. The tale recounts the overnight journey of a young girl a century ago while on a train who gets stranded in a blizzard on Christmas Eve.
Excursions occur at 7pm December 9th; 5 and 7pm December 10th and 5pm December 11th (with a possible 7pm ride should demand warrant.) That same schedule is repeated for the following weekend, December 16 – 18. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for children and include a Christmas City Express motorcar train ride. After the ride are family activities and crafts; a snowflake ornament along with cookies and hot chocolate. Because train capacity is limited, advance ticket purchase is required.
