Early American Auto Day

Numerous 1915 “brass era” cars from the Susquehanna Valley Region Chapter of the Horseless Carriage Club of America on hand.

The Ma & Pa Railroad Heritage Village at Muddy Creek Forks is holding their annual early American automobile event Sunday, July 15, during their regular operating hours of 1:00 – 5:00 pm. On hand will be over one dozen 1915 “brass era” cars courtesy of the Susquehanna Valley Region Chapter of the Horseless Carriage Club of America (HCCA). Visitors can expect to see Model T\\\’s, an E-M-F, Chevrolet, REO, Chalmers-Detroit, Maxwell, Buick and others including possibly a York Motor Car Company-built Pullman Junior. All will be staged in several groups around the village near the store and mill complex. Vehicle owners will discuss their vehicle with attendees.

In addition to the vintage wheels the village, which is a living history museum that depicts life a century ago, features an early 20th century general store, roller mill, grain elevator, fertilizer warehouse, and bank barn. Historically trained, costumed interpreters add a unique flavor to the experience as they interact with guests who visit the village. Five mile motorcar excursion train rides along scenic Muddy Creek are also offered for a small charge.
