Create your own superhero cape and mask with the Center for Creative Exploration at PCA&D York! Learn about the exhibition La Arte de la Borinqueña and get inspired to create your very own superhero. This family friendly event will take place on September 30 from 1:30 – 3:30 pm at PCA&D York located at 133 S Duke Street!

About the Exhibition:
The exhibition Arte de La Borinqueña opens at PCA&D York September 15, 2023 and is open to the public. Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, an award-winning graphic novelist and creator of the La Borinqueña superhero, has amplified and highlighted the importance of telling stories about Puerto Rico’s history, exploring present-day social and environmental issues, and celebrating the diversity of the Puerto Rican diaspora. La Borinqueña has become a real-life superhero with a suite of graphic novels, a special anthology, Ricanstruction benefiting grassroots organizations on the islands of Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria, partnerships with DC Comics, Chocolate Cortés, NRDC, and more.
