Enjoy an afternoon of music presented by JAERV- a Swedish folk band who energizes their music with modern touches.
The award-winning Swedish Folk Group Jaerv will perform at Martin Library in York. Presented by the Susquehanna Folk Music Society, the performance is open to the public and free to attend.
Jaerv is an internationally known act and has toured the U.S., Japan, Spain, Scotland, Ireland, Finland and Norway among other countries. The quintet, consisting of Joel Hagen, Anders Bergsten, Harald Nilsson, Markus Gustavsson, and Tobias Hedlund, offer a varied stage performance of vocals, energetic dances and free improvisations. Jaerv is known for its extroverted, vigorous and heartfelt folk music with influences from both jazz and pop music.
