Inspire Big Band
Traditional Big Band Jazz playing Swing, Blues, Bop, and Funk.
The Inspire Big Band is born out of the Inspire Studio of the Arts, York’s premiere studio for jazz education and performance. The IBB is a seventeen piece traditional big band made up of professional musicians from throughout Central Pennsylvania.
The Inspire Big Band will be playing selections from artists and arrangers of the past and the present. Music from famous jazz musicians like Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Thad Jones, Buddy Rich, and Stan Kenton to name a few. Arrangers such as Alan Baylock, Sammy Nestico, Bill Holman, Kris Berg, Rick Hirsch, and Tom Kubis will be featured in the concert.
Our band includes members Craig Kenny, Dave Shultz, Chris Loser, and Wayne Fox are a few of the noted professional jazz players.
For a fun filled night of jazz standards, originals, and improvisation come to the The Valencia Ballroom in downtown York and some \\\”Hot Summer Jazz\\\”.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Seating is general admission and is organized with rounder tables and eight seats per table. There will be an open cash bar available. For those who wish to have some food during the event, you may order and pick up at the Rockfish Public House at 110 N. George St., York, PA. 17401. You can then bring your dinner to the concert to enjoy.
Parking: The Philadelphia Street Parking Garage, levels two and three, are connected by a catwalk to the Rockfish Public House for your convenience. There is also street parking for the event.
