Art Downtown will feature paintings by Sharon Benner, a longtime member, who paints landscapes in the area, playing with color and light.
Sharon Benner, a Hanover resident, will display paintings May 30-June 24 at Art Downtown, the gallery of the Hanover Area Arts Guild, 32 Carlisle St., Hanover. Benner, a colorist, often paints at Codorus State Park. She prefers to take her paints and canvas and paint outdoors.
In addition, Benner will be on hand 2-7 p.m. June 3 during downtown Hanover’s Sip & Stroll to talk with art lovers.
The exhibit, “Light in the Landscape: Paintings by Sharon Benner,” can be seen during regular gallery hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is always free.
