The mills of Southern York County, Pa. and Northern Harford County, Md. are celebrating the heritage of milling.
The mills of Southern York County, Pa. and Northern Harford County, Md. are celebrating the heritage of milling the weekend of June 10 and 11 by hosting their 11th area-wide free open house. This is part of a broader celebration sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM). Participating in the event will be Wallace-Cross Mill, Felton; Eden Mill, Pylesville, Md; Muddy Creek Forks Roller Mills; and New Park Wind Engine. Hours vary with each mill, however generally most will be open between noon and 4 pm, both days.
