One to One

Registration is now open for the fourth annual One to One (formerly Human Library: York) event!

The York College Center for Community Engagement is partnering with One to One to present an event that seeks to create experiences that connect people to stories through conversations, allowing them to feel seen.

This annual event features a collection of neighbors from York, Pennsylvania, that each share their experiences related to a specific aspect of their identity in the form of one to one conversations with attendees. It aims to establish an open, honest conversational space, inviting difficult questions and meaningful connections.

Guests are invited to engage in a one to one conversation with a neighbor, learning about the topic or experience being shared. This is not a one-sided storytelling session, but rather an exchange that develops organically between the two individuals involved. Conversations typically last around thirty minutes and may be ended or extended at any time.

Because capacity is limited and events typically sell out well in advance, those who wish to attend are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Registration is required for this event.
