POSTPONED! Sparrow Place Collaborative Art Installation for Give Local York

Sex Trafficking | The Life, A Collaborative Art Installation for Give Local York.

FREE Sex Trafficking public awareness event!
Sparrow Place is a local anti-human trafficking and survivor services nonprofit determined to open a house in York County, PA, to use as a long-term therapeutic residence for women survivors of sex trafficking and prostitution.
We have collaborated with the Marketview Arts Center, York artist, Evelyn Price, and York College professor, Dr. Amanda Rich, and her students, to create a walk-through art installation displaying the realities of sex trafficking. Some people call it sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, or prostitution, some people call it ‘The Life’. The goal of the experience is for the York community to better grasp what that means.
The interactive experience will coincide with the Give Local York & First Friday celebration, happening in downtown York on Friday, 5/1/20.
Sex trafficking is real and happening in York and its surrounding counties. We can’t prevent it, fight it, or have empathy for victims and survivors if we don’t know what it is. We’ll see you there!
