Forty-five minutes of ROCK history coupled with forty-five minutes of learning on instruments!
Forty-five minutes of ROCK history coupled with forty-five minutes of learning on instruments (Percussion, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keys, Vocals, etc). The “Teach Rock” Program, which was developed under the watchful eye of Bruce Springsteen’s guitarist, Steven Van Zandt, provides a depth and structure to learning the curriculum: “‘Teach Rock’ is rooted in a teaching philosophy that believes students learn best when they truly connect with the material to which they’re introduced. Obviously, popular music is one such point of connection. This course is devoted to bringing music into the classroom as a gateway to substantive and meaningful exploration of a wide range of topics in Social Studies, English Language Arts, Humanities, Music, etc.” What makes our History of Rock Class unique is the added practical application to learning and experiencing “ROCK” musical principles; instrumental time on guitar, bass, drums, & keyboard.
