Special Viewing Event – The York Artbook Collective Library
at HIVE artspace

Masks are required for gallery entry.
During this special viewing of the inaugural YAC artbooks you will get to take a peek inside the minds and processes of 16 of the inaugural artists of The York Artbook Collective through their completed artbooks. Some of the artists will be on hand to say hello and answer questions.
The York Artbook Collective Library is an on-going project organized by Amy Mummert. Inspired by Brooklyn Sketchbook Project, The York Artbook Collective is an on-going project that anyone can participate in by creating an artbook / sketchbook for the York Artbook Collective library, currently housed at HIVE artspace in York, PA.
And now it is YOUR turn! On February 17 we will have a limited number of blank artbooks to give away, courtesy of the Cultural Alliance of York County, for those who would like to contribute an artbook of their own to the YAC library. To be eligible for a free artbook, you will need to create a free artist profile on York365.com (a great resource for arts & culture related things!) Beyond the free quantity, additional blank artbooks are available for purchase for $10, along with instructions on how to participate.
The YAC artbooks will be housed at HIVE artspace as a viewing library. It is hoped that the library can also be used at special events in York to bring art to those who might not otherwise see a collection such as this.

About “Raise The Curtain”…
“In support of all York County arts attractions, the ‘Raise the Curtain’ campaign will highlight all of the upcoming concerts, festivals, and arts experiences we have been missing while ensuring audiences maintain their personal level of comfort and safety.
Presented by Glatfelter Insurance Group with additional support from M&T Bank, Traditions Bank, CGA Law and WITF, the ”Raise the Curtain” initiative will launch with a week of free, featured events in the community from February 14th-19th followed by a public service campaign to reengage patrons with the arts they have been missing.
