Summer Dance Camp

Illstyle & Peace Productions are teaching a FREE Dance Camp at Martin Library this summer for kids entering 4th, 5th and 6th grade.

York County kids entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades have a unique opportunity to train with members of the professional dance company Illstyle & Peace Productions this summer.  Kids can attend one session or all five. Dance Camp is free, but dancers do need to pre-register as space is limited.

Camps will be held from 3:30 to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Friday. The first camp will be June 28 – July 1. Other dates are July 5 – 8, July 12 – 15, July 19 – 22, and July 26 – 29.

A free lunch is available at 2:30 p.m.  Kids are encouraged to come for lunch and then stay for camp.

Free parking passes are available at any Martin Library Customer Service Desk.

Camp is FREE and part of Summer Reading Club thanks to our friends at Positive Energy Arts and Cultural Alliance of York County!

Illstyle & Peace Productions recently appeared at Dance Street at the Olde York Street Fair and served as an “Artist in Residency” for a week in the School District of the City of York.  They are a multicultural, Philadelphia-based dance company that has toured to critical acclaim nationally and internationally.

The company creates work rooted in contemporary, West African, old school & new school hip-hop blended with an eclectic mix of dance and performance disciplines including tap, ballet, DJing and beatboxing.
