The Bar Stools Go Back To The Future

Twenty-three ago, the first Bar Stools production of Behind Courthouse Doors brought the house down at the former York Little Theatre (now the Belmont Theatre). Since then, their talents have delighted audiences and raised over $186,000 to benefit The Belmont and support the charitable work of the York County Bar Foundation in the community through its programs that provide legal services to the poor and help people move from the criminal justice system to independence, saving lives and community dollars.

The York County Bar Foundation and The Belmont Theatre are proud to partner once again to present The Bar Stools Go Back To The Future, an original production written, produced and directed by attorney Thomas D. O’Shea of CGA Law Firm.  Performances run from April 7-9, with all show times at 7:30 pm at The Belmont. Tickets are $30.00 and can be purchased by calling The Belmont Box office at 854-5715 or online at www.thebelmont.org. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Belmont and the YCBF.

The Bar Stools Go Back To The Future is a hilarious musical spoof – If I Could Turn Back Time – performed by The Bar Stools, an acting ensemble comprised of members of the York County Bar Association. In Act I, Dr. Brown, Marty McLaw, and the cast go back in time to pre-pandemic days of practicing law. Act II covers the challenges, progress and changes as they return to present day. The Bar Stools are modeled after The Capitol Steps, who originally began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them in Washington, D.C.
