The Hip Nut is a dance performance that takes place in 2022. A one of a kind, multicultural world dance production, this dance production is a contemporary retelling of the classic story of The Nutcracker. Our story begins on the day of a
pep rally at school, just before Christmas break. Our main character, Clara, struggles to deal with several bullies, and when a confrontation leaves Clara reeling in a daze, she finds confidence and clarity in a colorful world of dance. Act 2 takes her to explorations in Candyland as the magic of dance unfolds to tell the story.
