The Millers developed, owned, and operated the company coal mine and village of Joller, in the East Broad Top coal fields of Huntingdon County. Here he outlines the family’s early lumber business, the discovery of coal on the Joller tract, and the development of slope mines in three separate coal veins. Thirty-five years of deep mining at Joller and life in the company village are depicted.
