United Way Campaign Kick-Off

United Way of York County is proud to bring leading mental health speaker Mike Veny as the keynote speaker for our 2018 Campaign Kick-Off, to discuss needs and solutions for our community alongside a panel of local experts in mental health.

We’ve read the headlines and heard the stories of the challenges we face in our community related to mental health. But did you know:

• One in five adults and children experiences mental illness in a given year

• York County has some of the lowest patient to provider ratios for mental health professionals in the state of Pennsylvania, which can limit access to health services

• Nonprofits are filling the gap to meet the need in our community, but challenges remain
