The Ma & Pa Railroad Heritage Village at Muddy Creek Forks will offer a World War I Encampment weekend Saturday, August 11th, 11 am – 5 pm and Sunday August 12th, 1 – 5 pm. Re-enactors will be camped on site with displays of uniforms, weapons, and equipment used by various military forces engaged in WWI. Most of the re-enactors who will be participating are history enthusiasts who take pride in the accuracy of their portrayals of the soldiers they choose to represent. The event is free and occurs rain or shine.
The Ma & Pa Railroad Heritage Village at 1258 Muddy Creek Forks Road, Airville, Pa. 17302is a living history museum that depicts life a century ago and features an early 20th century general store, roller mill, grain elevator, fertilizer warehouse, and bank barn. Historically trained, costumed interpreters add a unique flavor as they interact with guests who visit the village. Five mile motorcar excursion train rides along scenic Muddy Creek are also offered for a small fee
