York Art Association Galleries
Work by regional artists in a wide variety of styles and mediums. A great way to purchase affordable original art or just enjoy viewing it.
Join us for York Art Association’s Spring Member’s Exhibition with an opening reception on Sunday, April 24, and open to the public through May 22. You will enjoy seeing the artwork of regional artists and if you are looking for affordable original art, most will be for sale.
On display are works in a wide variety of mediums and styles, whether you prefer realism or abstract art and some artists often submit sculpture or fiber works. In recent years, the reputation of paintings created with colored pencils has soared. To highlight this new area, York Art Association member, Judy Grupp, a colored pencil artist, is funding a new colored pencil award in addition to the other prizes totaling $1,450.
There will be hors d’oeuvres during the opening event and awards presented to the top artists selected by a judge. The judge for this exhibit is Pamela S. Hemzik, Ph.D., Professor of Art at York College of Pennsylvania, and Curator of the York College Gallery.
Simultaneously, Michael Brothers will be featured displaying his fine art work in the adjacent Sally Little Danyo Gallery.
