York College Wind Symphony

Under the dynamic leadership of conductor James Colonna, the York Wind Symphony is comprised of the College’s finest student instrumentalists. The group performs repertoire spanning a wide range of styles and historical periods. Marches, British band classics, transcriptions, medleys, and contemporary music are performed every semester.
This concert will comprise of modern band literature featuring a new composition by John Berners, “What Bird’s See”. The concert will also include music by Timothy Broege, “Sinfonia III”, Frank Ticheli’s beautiful “Sancturary”, and Leonard Bernstein’s raucus “Overture to Candide”.
