I started wood burning (Pyrography) as a way to relax and make Christmas gifts. Over the years it has slowly gone from a hobby that I did 1-2 times a year to a part of my daily life.

I am a graphic designer who loves fine art but lacks the skills to make beautiful drawings and paintings.  Pyrography is the intersection of design and wood burning helps me find the place I have been looking for all these years. It is my happy place. I design my projects on the computer mostly and then transfer them to wood surfaces to then burn by hand.

Over the last few years my skills and the tools I have to wood burn have advanced and I am enjoying every step in this journey as an artist who is now slowly making a little bit of money to support something that I love doing and hope to grow. I am proud to represent York, Pa at shows where my work is displayed.
