Steph Holmes makes art about life — specifically about that spark that connects a spirit to its’ body. In her words “there is little difference between the miraculous structures of my lungs, lungs which move every few seconds to pull life-giving oxygen into my body, and the systems that keep a tiny beetle living and breathing. The beetle’s life is fragile, like my own. In fact everything feels fresh and fragile and full of stories, and this sense of empathy is poured into everything I create.”
Steph Holmes is an artist and art educator. Her creative journey has led her through many forms of self-expression: painting, ceramics, sculpture, book-making, and more.
