Alice finds her inspiration in nature. The glance of an animal, the flight of a bird, the color in the bark of a tree.  No matter what the medium or style, her palette is bright and bold and often with that touch of humor only found by taking that second look!  She began painting on glassware at the request of a friend, but it has become a popular commission AND its sustainable. She treats it as another canvas type and has done landscapes and other commissions.

Alice was first introduced to art by her father at an early age where she literally painted scenes on 2×4’s scraps.  When it came time for a career, however, she was encouraged to the sciences, and she earned her degree in Engineering from Penn State.  She thrived on the creativity inherent to technology and had a successful career in manufacturing and engineering leadership. Alice is an active volunteer and a strong proponent of giving back to the community.

Alice continues to work in the engineering field but is also devoting time to rediscovering her art. Her hand painted glassware is sold on Etsy and in The Island Shop, Bermuda.  She has shown her original paintings at Gallery 227, York, PA and several other shows.

Alice lives in York with her husband and continues to paint and develop her craft. She is blessed by the support of her family and many friends.
