Amy Mummert resides in York, Pennsylvania. The daughter of an artist and a musician, she has been involved with the arts since childhood. After living in Philadelphia mealy 20 years, Amy left her position as an administrator at Community College of Philadelphia upon developing a disability, Myalgic Encephalomyalitis. She creates artwork to cope with past trauma and oversees two art movements to promote accessibility to visual arts.

Amy is the founder of York Artbook Collective (launched in January 2021). Inspired by the Brooklyn Sketchbook Project, her goal was to showcase local artists’ works a well as to make them art accessible to those who might not otherwise see such a diversity of artwork. The YAC library travels to various county events including York Pride, and it is otherwise housed at HIVE artspace.

Amy is also the founder of World Art Drop: York (est. 2017), a movement to share art as random acts of kindness.

Since 2017, she has been facilitating monthly community  paint nights in the WeCo District of York City.
