I am a visual artist that creates from my heart and soul
infusing the canvas with visual marks and symbols
allowing the viewer to open to a greater connection within themselves.
I feel creating art has been my best voice and natural medicine for my healing process.
I hope that the art images that flow through me inspire others.

In 2014, I was rear-ended by a tour bus causing a brain injury and a complex trauma to my nervous system. In that moment, I had no idea how much my life was about to change. Fortunately, my art was my unconditional companion as I continued to navigate through the challenges I faced in my recovery process. When words were hard to find, the soul saving images that expressed my thoughts and visually documented my journey emerged. What unfolded was the “Scrambled Brain Series”. These expressive images speak to the need to reconnect not only to the soul, but also to the psychological, social and cognitive self.

My difficult journey to recovery continues to this day. I have been able to shift to a more positive outlook, moving forward as I become reacquainted with the familiar aspects of my well-being that were hidden from my extensive injury.

Since the accident, my artistic creations have been my best voice, and I have relied on them as a trusted guide and companion. Before the accident I primarily created in watercolors. I am now venturing into acrylics creating on larger canvases with a more expressive style.

My paintings hang in private collections throughout the USA. You can find me exhibiting at local galleries, brain injury conferences and online. I have also been a speaker as an artist and bran injury survivor.
