Phoenix Media Arts was created by Anthony Collier and Joshua Santiago in 2021 with a mission to teach the youth in York County film creation through claymation. This unique form of animation sparks their imagination and encourages children to think critically while exploring their storytelling abilities. Through claymation, we offer them a platform to communicate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, fostering self-expression and boosting their self-confidence. Our Claymation course is not just about molding clay figures; it’s about unlocking the creative potential within each child. By teaching them the basics of film, we provide them with valuable knowledge about storytelling, camera angles, scene composition,lighting techniques , music composition and animation techniques. This hands-on learning experience equips them with transferable skills that can be utilized in various artistic and professional endeavors. We acknowledge the unfortunate reality that many at-risk youth face a lack of access to artistic resources and programs. Our Claymation course aims to bridge this gap by providing these young individuals with an opportunity to explore and express their creativity in a safe and nurturing environment.
