“My life has always been engulfed in consuming, creating and seeing the arts in everything.” – Shannon Garcia.

Shannon Garcia is “Made in York” from being born at York Hospital, graduating from York high and getting her degree at York College. As an artist she writes, performs and creates in many different mediums.  Shannon is the author of Love Letters To My City, a collection of urban poetry and black and white photography based on her experiences and perspectives of  York PA.

Her whimsical acrylic painting titled ” Get Your Kicks”  is on the cover of a blank writing journal and she has created and published several hand drawn coloring and activity books with Phyl Cambell Punlishing.

Additionally Shannon has a performance background and has been in several community productions, performed stand up comedy, and appears as a mermaid both on land and swimming in her tail fin.  She has also taught theater arts, and various other arts and crafts classes.
