My mother taught me the basics of many fiber art techniques, so when I met Karen Paust in 2002, I was ready to really let go and do my own style of fiber art.  Using no patterns, it is more comfortable to have the materials speak to me and suggest what they want to become.  After many discouraging stabs, I began to take “mistakes” into a whole different direction.  My stubbornness to not follow the rules has served me well, I believe.  For it is then that you truly are walking the rope without a net and only see the next thing that needs to be done.

People are curious about this process, as the results of my work vary so much.   My work is best summed up with these words: Color & Texture.  The components vary but often include fabrics of all types, yarn, crochet thread, felted wool, and beads.

My wish is that the work makes people smile, laugh and think.
