“The Merry Wives of Windsor” by William Shakespeare

The play brings John Falstaff, one of Shakespeare’s funniest characters,
into the town of Windsor, where misunderstandings, pranks and hilarity
follow him as he attempts to date his way through town. Director
Michelle Denise Norton has spent 20 summers touring York County’s
parks, bringing full-cast, uncut productions of Shakespeare’s comedies
to the community for free. “The Merry Wives of Windsor” is the first
production for Upstart Arts as an independent organization, and there
will be performances throughout the county July 27-Aug. 5. The perfor-
mance is free, and a free-will offering at this performance will go to St.
