Women Cook is a culinary initiative made up of women from different ethnic groups found across Israel. It promotes the advancement of women by giving them an avenue to share their personal journeys and talent.

During the evening you will indulge in a festive meal which will be set up as a vibrant multi-ethnic market. Women, from different backgrounds:

Moroccan, Kurdish, Ethiopian, Yemenite, and Bukharin, dressed in their traditional clothing, will serve food from their cuisine accompanied by music and stories of their childhood home.

Our York community will have a unique opportunity to taste the diverse flavors of Israel, and meet this group of remarkable women who possess the age-old wisdom of traditional cooking as passed on to them by their mothers and grandmothers.
