York College Chorale and Wind Symphony: Worth of the Soul:
A Musical Tribute to American Indian Warriors and Veterans with Guest Composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate
Sunday, November 11, 2018, 3:00 p.m.
Waldner Performing Arts Center

One of the purest forms of American patriotism dwells in the American Indian soldier. American Indians boast the highest ethnic ratio of enlisted service members – one-fifth are veterans. Their service is a testimony to the transcendent cultural standing of the Indian warrior. The worth of the warrior’s soul is truly immeasurable and beyond reproach. Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate’s Worth of the Soul is a poetic journey that follows a young Indian stepping onto the warrior path; welcomed and supported by a legacy of Indian warriors across the continent and throughout time. Each of these contribute unique powers to the collective voice of all Indian warriors.
