QuickStart Guitar is a new kind of guitar class—one that emphasizes Popular Music and its history as the source material. In QuickStart Guitar we will be developing basic guitar and musical skills in a natural, contemporary, and—most of all—fun way! Some of the things we will be learning include: basic technique, open chording, “groove”, basic rhythms, the form and application of “The Blues”, strumming, “broken” chording, melody and melodic playing, reading tablature, power chords, song form, songwriting, developing a chord vocabulary, survey of musical styles, and more. In addition, ensemble playing, and learning is a must at all levels of QuickStart Guitar”! We learn to play by playing together. �

This first 8-week class is aimed at the beginner player. It’s the perfect get ya started guitar class for acoustic and electric guitar players. The cost for this 8-week course is $200 with 8 1-hour sessions. Special deals apply to members of Union Lutheran Church. This class is for all ages! Parents and children can learn side by side!
