45th Annual Oyster Festival

45th Annual Oyster Festival

Presented by York County History Center at Agricultural and Industrial Museum

Now in its 45th year, Festival-goers can savor Chesapeake Bay oysters offered raw or fried served up by the experienced shuckers of Henry’s Seafood, plus tasty oyster stew, crab cakes, steamed shrimp, world famous apple fritters, pulled pork, among other offerings.

For those looking for a great drink to go with their food, Oyster Shooters will be back, along with other drink options including local wine and craft brews. Sweets and treats will also be available presented by the Friends of the York County History Center.

What festival wouldn’t be complete without family friendly activities?  This year’s event features live music on Princess Street, artisan and local history demonstrations, children’s activities, the chance to explore the History Center’s Agricultural and Industrial Museum.  Family activities include oyster-themed games; a museum scavenger hunt; and make and take crafts.  There is something for everyone at this free event!
