This will be a display of landscapes and botanical life in Pennsylvania and surrounding regions from May 1 to the 31st. Chris paints many of her landscapes “en plein air”, or directly on site. Some of her work is a second creation of these pieces in a larger format using a different color palette to convey a different mood or energy. Other paintings are inspired from her own photographs. Her depictions of plant life are larger than life to expose the intricate details often missed when casually observing them.
There will be a wine and cheese artist reception at the library on first Friday May 1 from 5:00 to 6:30. The public is welcome to this free event. All paintings are for sale with 20% going to benefit the library.
