Learn to create and solve encrypted messages with York County Library’s own Jackie Dell-Shearer!
Create and solve encrypted messages with YCL’s own Jackie Dell-Shearer! Cryptography is the science of secret messages. It has been used by spies and the military for centuries. Children will use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create and solve encrypted messages using several types of ciphers. Using a variety of hands on games and activities, they will look for patterns to describe and decipher the encryption. By the end of the session the kids will be able to encrypt and decode secret messages that they can share with family and friends. For Elementary and Middle School ages. This event will travel to each of our libraries during SummerQuest. Registration required.
