Writers' Roundtable

Writers' Roundtable

Presented by York County History Center at York County Historical Society Museum

The next Writers’ Roundtable meeting is Thursday, September 3 hosted by the York County History Center.  Our speaker will be Matthew Jackson and the meeting is at 7:00 in the Meeting Hall.

Writer, researcher, strategic planner, and poet, Matthew Jackson, among many other work products, is the principal author and editor of downtown Hanover’s new outdoor storyboards (also known as wayside markers), a multi-media collaboration between Explore York, Main Street Hanover, L2 Brands and the U.S. Civil War Trails.
Matt will speak on how our relationship to and presentation of our local history can reveal our values and priorities, as well as our relationship to each other. We are caretakers, custodians, and curators of our history and public art. How we do our job, how we connect stories to our neighbors, fellow citizens and “consumers” often scouts and shapes our communities’ futures.

Due to restrictions related to COVID-19, pre-reservation seating/tickets are needed for this program.  Attendance is currently limited to 20 people.  Reservations can be made be clicking the link or by contacting the front desk at 717-848-1587.
