Saturdays just got more interesting! The York County Heritage Trust’s Lecture Series offers a new topic every second Saturday of the month
Michael Maloney, local writer and author of Across the River: Murder at the Accomac, will examine the history and story surrounding the 1882 murder of Emily Myers, at the present day Accomac Inn. Shot by John Coyle, Jr., after he received a rejection to his marriage proposal, Myers’ murder made local and national headlines. Discover the history of the Inn and the events leading up to and after the murder. Copies of Across the River will be available in the Trust’s bookshop before and after the program.
