18th Century Cooking Demonstration-CANCELLED

Presented by York County History Center at Colonial Complex

Learn about 18th century ingredients, cooking techniques, and tools at the Colonial Complex.
Visit the Colonial Complex on November 28th to see Manager of Public Programs, Christine Cooper,  demonstrate preparation and cooking techniques using the tools of the period. Visitors will be able to observe, ask questions, and visit the Tavern kitchen garden.   Christine will also talk about common ingredients and where they came from.  Drop in anytime from 10 AM-1 PM.
Instructions and recipes will be available to take home.

Due to COVID-19 precautions we will need to limit the number of people in the summer kitchen.  We ask our visitors to practice social distancing and wear masks.  To maintain distance between groups we ask our visitors to step outside to allow other guests to observe and ask questions.  Visitors will be unable to sample food.
This event will be held in the summer kitchen.  The kitchen is not climate controlled.
