Ma & Pa Railroad Opens for the Season June 6

Presented by Ma & Pa Railroad Preservation Society at Ma & Pa Railroad Village

The Ma & Pa Railroad Heritage Village returns for their 23rd season with a full schedule of events, including every Sunday from June 6 through September 5. Motorcar train rides will be operating hourly, between 1 pm and 5 pm, through the Muddy Creek Valley at 70% of pre-COVID capacity. Tickets can be purchased in advance through Ma & Pa Railroad Preservation Society website at www.MaAndPaRailroad.com.

This summer season features no less than six special events designed to inform and entertain people of all ages. These include Mid-Atlantic Milling Days – June 12 and 13; Made in America Tours – June 18 and 19; July 4th celebration (family picnic day); Civil War Encampment – July 18; Early American Autos – August 15; and a World War II Encampment – August 28 and 29.

As the season progresses, the Heritage Village will monitor the status of the COVID-19 pandemic to adjust its procedures as needed to ensure the safety of visitors and staff alike. Currently visitors will be asked to wear masks in the buildings and when seated with unrelated people on the train. This policy is required by emergency orders issued by the Federal Railroad Administration and Transportation Security Administration.
