Have you ever wondered what people ate during the colonial and early American period?
Join Manager of Public Programs, Christine Cooper, and we’ll take a look at recipes, tools, and techniques used during the period. And discuss ingredients and where they came from. Each month the preparation of a different dish will be demonstrated. Visitors will be able to observe, ask questions, and visit the Tavern kitchen garden. This event is free to the public.
June 27- Red Strawberry Jam
July 24-Slap Jacks
Public tours of the Colonial Complex are available at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. for the cost of admission.
