A Summer Read: "You Belong: A Call for Connection by Sebene Selassie

Presented by York County Libraries and YMCA of York and York County at Unknown

The Transforming Health Summer Read project celebrates its 9th year in 2021. This year’s selection is “You Belong: A Call for Connection” by Sebene Selassie. Authored by much-admired meditation expert, Sebene Selassie, “You Belong” is a call to action, exploring our tangled relationship with belonging, connection, and each other.

Visit our blog site to learn why this inspirational book is tailored just for these times. Special programs will be held throughout the month of August and September. On Thursday evenings in August, presenters from York County Libraries and WellSpan Health will offer a series of virtual programs on topics inspired by the book. Please RSVP to be a part of these meaningful discussions:
Aug. 05 | 6:30 PM You Belong: Whether You Know it or Not
Aug. 12 | 6:30 PM You Belong: Here and Now
Aug. 19 | 6:30 PM You Belong: Because You Matter (and So Do They)
Aug. 26 | 6:30 PM You Belong: The Beginning and the End

In September, the in-person  “You Belong: With Us” event, which was to be held on Thursday, Sept. 2nd, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at the Dover Community Center has now been postponed due to an increase in COVID transmission rates.  Check back later for a new date and time.
